So what was I doing all this time instead of writing articles literally read and adored by dozens? Well, I was doing a little TV writing, web series writing and child raising. And here’s a trailer for one such project, Truckstop Bloodsuckers. I was approached by the producers to help punch up the comedy aspect of this delightfully campy little low budget horror comedy created by Ms. Lindsey MacNeil. We went through network notes, budget notes and death defying deadlines together. I have yet to see the final result, but this looks like a pretty entertaining little show if I do say so myself. What do you think?

Missing Expo and Avengers
Well, due to powers out of our control, there was no Smackdown panel at Calgary Expo this year. We’re looking at returning for next year, and also possibly one or two cons in the USA this year (more as it develops). So instead, some of Admin_Rock’s Expo adventures…

A little cross geekiness for you today.
Last year, I booked a table in the Artist Alley at the Calgary Expo, and sold a lot of small (16×16) mosaics. You can see a bunch of them here. I had a blast, and things went really well. So well, in fact, that I decided to upgrade to a full booth this year. When I looked through the line-up of guests booked, I wondered which of them I should make a mosaic of. Making mosaics takes a long time, and the subject has to be something interesting. I decided on a mosaic of Adam Baldwin as Jayne Cobb from “Firefly”. Always loved that show, and Adam was great on it.
And so it was.
I tweeted a picture of it to Adam Baldwin today, and he seems to like it. I’m looking forward to meeting up with him at Calgary Expo and getting it signed. If you’re at the expo, drop by the booth and say hi. (Booth 1000, near the guest signing area). Remember that I do custom portraits etc. drop me a line and we’ll sort it all out.

Continuity Entropy (Or: “The nerdiest op-ed you will read all week”)
Continuity Entropy: a process of complication or muddying the history of a character to a point where all explanations of the character have to start with something like “well, when they restarted Wonder Woman in 1987, Steve Trevor wasn’t her boyfriend so …”
No matter how fresh your reboot, you only have a few years before your storylines become so integrated that you can’t possibly have a new reader jump on at any issue.
